where the words come from

i believe in writing the things i can't always say out loud. words have been how i make sense of love, loss, healing, and everything in between.
what i write about
love — the kind that stays, and the kind that leaves.
grief — the kind that lingers quietly.
healing — the kind that takes its time.
softness — the kind we grow into.
forgiveness — the kind that begins with ourselves.
hope — the kind that never really leaves.

a little about me

my name is Tony Cardona, and i'm a bilingual poet from Illinois. i started writing to make sense of the things i couldn't say, and somehow, those words started finding their way to others.
why i keep writing
i write because words have a way of touching our hearts in the forms silence can't. poetry has a way of making us feel seen, even when no one's looking. i write because i believe there's healing in expressing the things we carry.

a note to you

thank you for being here. thank you for reading, feeling, and letting these words sit with you. i sincerely hope you find a piece of yourself somewhere between the lines.
